In Microsoft Windows Vista you may find that you are typing away and then notice that the text on screen does rot match what you have typed or even the key strokes on the keyboard. This is most likely happening because the language input selection for the keyboard has changed. You can easily find this out and correct it in a couple of steps.
First is to open the Control Panel. Left click the Start Button (round Orb on the bottom left), locate the Control Panel and select it by left clicking it.
Under CLock, Language and Region left click "Change keyboards or other input methods. You should then have the following screen.
If the Keyboards and Languages tab is not selected then left click it. You can now left click the button "Change keyboards". The new property page will list all the keyboards and languages that are installed on your computer. This is where we fix the keyboard typing. You can find each language that is installed and remove the unnecessary ones. If you have a North American Computer and type in English then you will want to keep the English (United States) language. Select each of the other languages that you do not need to use and press delete.
If you only need the English North American keyboard then the property page should look like this:
